Here's proof that I am at home, occasionally. Good friend and filmmaker Dave O'Leske traveled to Tahoe yesterday to interview me, along with Todd Offenbacher, Dave Nettle and Peter Croft, as part of his upcoming documentary film on Fred Beckey, "Direct Beckey". This film has been a long time in the making (87 years by Fred's count) and I can't wait to see the final piece. Fred is a living legend and deserves to have his story told. In Fred's honor, while being interviewed, I wore a shirt I bought for a dollar in Peru. He'd respect that.
On a related note – If you happen to be reading this from the Midwest, Fred is speaking tonight at the Mildred Lane Kemper Museum on the Washington University campus in St. Louis, MO.
