HUGE CONGRATS ‼️ to Alexandera Houchin for winning the Arizona Trail (837 miles and 86,700 feet of elevation gain) on her single speed! We’ve been following Alexandera’s journey as a professional bikepacking athlete and are working on a documentary that tells her story, and so hearing this news is just amazing! Alexandera won the women’s division on a single speed, beating geared competitors. And as she just wrote, this victory “Proves to myself that it’s not the bike but the person on it.”

This accomplishment means that Alexandera has now individually won the women’s division in each of the three bikepacking races that constitute the Triple Crown, including the Colorado Trail (526 miles; 75K feet elevation gain) and the Tour Divide (2,696 miles; 200K feet elevation gain), both of which she won in 2019, also on a single speed.

Alexandera has an amazing story and is a true inspiration. Stay tuned for more about our film!

One important note: This image was captured by Tara Kerzhner in 2023 during a re-creation of Alexandera’s ride of the Arizona Trail that year.
