What’s the best kind of work?
It’s when you’re working with the best people in the best places.
When you’re doing work that you can feel good about because you’re helping the world hear an important message.
When, no matter how long the days go, no matter how uncomfortable you are, no matter how hard you’re working, you wouldn’t want to be anywhere else.
That was how we all felt last summer working on a brand story for Yellowstone Grassfed Beef in the Centennial Valley of Montana.
Our team at Novus Select got to collaborate with the folks at Yellowstone Grassfed Beef to produce a higher-production value story about why grass-fed beef is both good for you and the environment.
I got to co-direct this spot with my good friend and fellow Nikon Ambassador Ami Vitale, which made the entire experience even more memorable. Also, thanks to Dane Henry, Sean Haverstock, and our intern Bjorn Myhre for joining us on this week-long production and making the visuals such a success. My only regret is that we only had a week here because I could’ve easily spent a month.
Thanks to Brian Ulring and his family, Hilary Anderson and her family, and the entire team at Yellowstone Grassfed Beef! Big thanks to Ami Vitali—looking forward to working on more projects with you! Thank you, Dane, Sean and Bjorn. And a special shout-out to Amy McCormick, our marketing and production coordinator, for driving from Tahoe to Montana to deliver some FreeFly ALTA batteries that we’d forgotten. Glad you got to make a fly fishing trip out of it!
And of course, thanks to all the companies who support our passion for creativity and telling stories! Nikon. FreeFly Systems. Connex. SmallHD. SanDisk. Litepanels.
