Nikon just gave us two good reasons to get excited: the release of the Z 6II and Z 7II, the next generation of Nikon’s full-frame mirrorless cameras.
Last year when Nikon released the Z 6 and Z 7, I was skeptical a mirrorless system would replace my trusty D850, but their small form factors and incredible performance made me a mirrorless convert overnight. I’ve since sold all of my F-mount lenses and I’m now shooting pretty much exclusively on the Z 6 and Z 7, depending on whether I want high-resolution or low-light performance.
Major updates to the Z 6II and Z 7II include dual card slots, 4K/60p video capture, and improved autofocus performance. Otherwise the cameras are similar to their groundbreaking predecessors, including nearly identicial camera bodies and the same 24.5MP and 45.7MP BSI CMOS image sensors, respectively.
