The number one question after last week's episode of Flying Wild Alaska - "How did the muktuk taste?" – So good that we've asked the Trader Joe's in Carson City to start importing any brand of whale blubber they can find from Unalakleet, Alaska.
It's so exciting to have such a wild expedition captured and featured on, our buddy, Tommy Baynard's hit show for all to see, though a bit funny to see ourselves on TV. Most importantly, this provided another opportunity to work with some of my best friends and travel on an amazing adventure. Tommy Baynard, the Tweeto family, Tommy Caldwell, Hayden Kennedy, Todd Offenbacher, Tommy Thompson, Dane Henry – You guys are awesome!
When the show left off last Friday, we had just finished a first ascent in the Arrigetch Peaks, but were still deep in the wilderness. Be sure to tune in to the Discovery Channel again this Friday at 10pm EST/PST (9pm CST) as "Jim searches for a group of missing mountain climbers lost somewhere in Alaska's Brooks Range".
If you missed the first episode, "Guts and Glory", it's now available for download on iTunes.
Again – many thanks to Tommy Baynard and Trans-Global Group, Nikon, Polartec, Patagonia and Revo for making this all a reality.
