As part of my work as a member of the SanDisk Extreme Team, I was honored to have a short part in a video, telling the story of the birth and growth of SanDisk. Given my dedication to their products and my love for telling stories in the outdoor adventure world, I was happy to add some insight and explanation into how SanDisk has changed my world.
The video provides a nice glimpse into the many years of development that went into the flash cards that we, as photographers and filmmakers, take for granted. It also serves as a great reminder that so much of what we do on a daily basis, not just taking photos, is dependent upon this technology. It’s definitely worth watching all the way through. My cameo begins at 2:52, once again proving that I’m better suited being behind the camera.
As an added bonus during the filming of this spot was opportunity to reconnect with director, Emmett Malloy. I first met Emmett many years ago during a magazine cover shoot. He was there with his client and subject of the shoot, an up and coming musician named Jack Johnson. It’s always a pleasure to spend time with great people who are following their passion.
