NEWS: Outdoor Photographer – Feature

I am often asked to describe the perfectly packed camera bag or to define my "must have" gear list. Outdoor Photographer took this challenge a step further and asked me to pick my favorite lens — a single lens that I couldn't live without. My choice, without hesitation, is the Nikkor 17-35 f2.8. The image above was shot using this lens during an expedition to Cerro Torre in Patagonia, Argentina. Read more of my thoughts about the lens and find out what those numbers mean on the Outdoor Photographer site.

What's the best way to find your favorite lens? Get out there and shoot as much as you can, in all environments and conditions. The more you shoot, the more you will find one particular lens to be truly indispensable. Have fun!

Great article Corey. And I have to agree – the 17-35 is my absolute favorite lens as well.
