Aperture, shutter speed, ISO, and focal length are some of the most basic—but also the most powerful—tools we have as photographers to get creative and make interesting, artistic storytelling pictures. In this Tech Tip that I produced for Adorama TV, I provide a quick, easy tip that anyone can quickly master for using your shutter speed to get original and create a sense of speed/motion in an action-sports photo shoot. Working with Jake Dore, a world-class mountain biker, I show why you might not want to “stop” the motion, but instead let it blur across your frame. I also reveal the “sweet spot” shutter speed for creating this dynamic effect, and provide general tips for how to hold and move your camera while working with the subject to get that one perfect frame. The last and best step, as always, is to get out there and Get the Shot!

Thank you for sharing your creativity.
It helps motivate my thinking.
BTW, after you review hundreds of frames for the best one, do you delete those that did not make the cut.
Thanks
Richard
