One of the realities of our office is that we keep the mail and delivery people busy. There is a constant influx of packages of new equipment arriving from Adorama at the Corey Rich Productions South Lake Tahoe headquarters on an almost daily basis: Cameras, lights, lenses, grip equipment, gaff tape, extension cords, computers, hard drives and so on. (See complete Gear List here).
With all the deliveries, our head security officer, Preta the dog, has been working overtime to make sure that she not only alerts us when a vital new piece of gear arrives, but instills an appropriate amount of fear into the hearts and minds of all brands of delivery people (USPS, UPS, FedEx, etc.)
Lately, Preta has been working so hard on security detail that she’s been slacking on one of her other main duties: barking every time we’re on an important phone call. When our insurance agent heard this he expressed concern that Preta was being stretched too thin. We brought in a security consultant who recommended that Preta have an assistant.
We’re pleased to announce that Iggy has signed on as junior deputy sheriff at Corey Rich Productions. Under the supervision of Julia Arcamone, Iggy has been making fantastic strides in the security department, showing real initiative. No new packages have been delivered or phone calls rung without Iggy’s prompt woof and excited tail wag.
Iggy hails from the Pet Network Humane Society in Incline Village, world renown for producing some of the hardest skiing dogs in the Tahoe Basin. Iggy literally jumped right into his role as junior deputy sheriff, a model employee. Already Iggy has gone above and beyond the call of duty by chewing little holes into everyone’s shoes while he sharpens his young puppy teeth.
With new clients on the phone, new projects in the works, and new shipments of great new camera equipment arriving regularly, it really feels like life at Corey Rich Productions is barking up the right tree. And with our new security team in full effect, intruders beware. Preta and Iggy are standing guard.
