Adding motion to your time-lapse has the potential to create some pretty stunning results. But how does one get the camera moving, panning and tilting while simultaneously capturing a time-lapse?
In my latest Tech Tip for Adorama TV, I will walk you through some of the equipment you’ll need to start creating motion-controlled time-lapses. I talk about some of my choices for equipment, including the Kessler Stealth Slider and Kessler Second Shooter. There are other pieces of gear that you don’t necessarily hear much about, but are super important such a Manfrotto Ball-head.
This isn’t an episode for time-lapse beginners. But if you’re comfortable capturing time-lapses on a stationary tripod and you are looking to take your time-lapse photography to the next level, this episode will get you going.
Ultimately, all of these techniques work best when they are motivated by a compelling idea or concept. So have fun with your equipment, but don’t forget to let creativity and story be your guide.
Hope you enjoy this latest Tech Tip, and be sure to check out more videos like this on adorama.com.
