Just received a copy of the new David Lama book, “HIGH” and was honored to find my portrait of David on the cover. I first met David three years ago in Patagonia during his attempt to free climb Cerro Torre (which he successfully free climbed in 2012). I was on assignment to photograph the expedition for Red Bull ; since then we’ve become great friends. In fact, I just returned from a trip to Pakistan with David where we successfully filmed and climbed Trango Tower.
David’s a talented climber and great guy with a bright future. Now I just wish I could understand German so I could read the book 🙂
