Since my first trip to Mallorca, Spain many years ago with Chris Sharma, Josh Lowell, Brett Lowell, and Peter Mortimer, Chris has been talking about wanting to hold a deep water soloing competition on an artificial wall in the US. It’s a brilliant idea! I’m super excited and proud of Chris for making his dream become a reality! Also happy that Chris and his team found use for my photo that I shot on that very first trip to Mallorca. Good luck and here’s to a cool new concept in the climbing competition world!
