Proud to share some of Novus Select’s latest work because it speaks for the trees! “Last Tree Standing” is a new multimedia feature that explores climate change’s effect on the giant sequoia trees of California.
My good friend Lincoln Else directed this piece, with Bligh Gillies as the DP; Sean Haverstock flew the drone, and our intern Bjorn Myhre, assisted the production. Also thanks to Amy McCormick and Josh Marianelli for all their hard work assisting the production behind the scenes. The feature, written by the talented Thayer Walker, just went live on bioGraphic, a very cool website created by the California Academy of Sciences in San Francisco.
Check it out and see how some really fascinating science can be told through exceptional visuals. Fantastic work all around!
