TECH TIP: Getting the Shot with Corey Rich: Shooting Ad Campaigns Part 2

by Corey Rich

When shooting for advertising campaigns, your client will often have a very specific idea about what they want. My job is to go out into the field and deliver that content.

In part two of this Tech Tip mini-series for Adorama TV on shooting an ad campaign for Ski Lake Tahoe, I head into the nightclub with the athletes and a mini crowd to create those nightlife shots. Our client has a very specific idea of what they want, and it’s our job to deliver those shots. We brought in a bunch of really cool lighting equipment to get these shots, including Litepanels Hilio LEDs and Sola12s, and Profoto Acute2 heads with Profoto Pro8b power packs.

When you go through all the logistics and effort of putting together your next ad shoot, remember to make the most of the situation while you’re there. The last thing you want is to come back to your client without plenty of great content for them to choose from.

Hope you enjoy this latest Tech Tip, and be sure to check out more videos like this on adorama.com.
